Delete your account

You can delete your Linki account at any time. This page explains how to do it from inside the app, and what happens to your data.
How to delete your account
- Open the Linki app on your phone.
- Tap the profile icon in the top-right of the "My Trips" screen to open Settings.
- Scroll to the Account section and tap "Delete account".
- Read the warning, tap Continue, then type the word
DELETEto confirm. - Your account is removed within a few seconds. The app will sign you out and return to the welcome screen.
Don't have access to the app anymore? Send an email from the address associated with your Google or Apple account to privacy@linki.travel with the subject "Delete my Linki account". We will process the request within 30 days.
What gets deleted

| Authentication record | The link between Linki and your Google/Apple account is severed. |
| Push notification token | Removed — you stop receiving Linki notifications immediately. |
| Trips where you were the only organizer | The whole trip is deleted: members, expenses, polls, photos, checklists, AI itineraries. |
| Trips where you were organizer with other members | Organizer rights are transferred to the member who joined first. The trip continues to exist for the remaining group. |
| Trips where you were a member | Your membership is removed. |
What stays (and why)
Group accounting requires that contributions remain attributable. To keep the balance correct for the people you travelled with:
- Expenses you paid remain visible to the other members of those trips, so debts continue to be calculated correctly. Your name is replaced with "Deleted user".
- Photos you uploaded to a shared trip gallery remain in that gallery — they belong to the group, not just to you.
- Poll votes you cast remain in the historical record of resolved polls (anonymized).
Retention
Personal data tied to your identity is removed immediately. Operational logs (Cloud Functions, error reports) may retain anonymized references for up to 30 days for debugging and security purposes, after which they are erased automatically.
