Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Linki mobile and web application ("Linki", the "Service"). By creating an account or using Linki, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) and able to enter into a binding contract to use Linki.

2. Your account

• You authenticate via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple — we do not store passwords.
• You are responsible for keeping your authentication credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information (passport nationality, display name) where requested.

3. Group trips and content

• You may create trips and invite others, or join trips you have been invited to. By joining a trip you accept that other members of that trip can see your name, profile photo, expenses, polls, votes, checklist contributions and photos you upload to that trip.
• Trip organizers can close a trip at any time; closed trips are deleted from our servers 20 days later.
• You retain ownership of the content you upload (photos, expenses, comments). You grant Linki a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display that content within the Service solely for the purpose of operating it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, infringing, harassing, or harmful content.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract API keys or secrets from the app.
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages to other users.
• Bypass authentication, rate limits, or security mechanisms.
• Impersonate another person.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

5. AI-generated content

Linki generates trip ideas, daily itineraries, experience suggestions, and pre-trip checklists using Google Gemini. AI output may contain errors or omissions and is provided "as is" for informational purposes only. You are responsible for verifying critical information — especially visa, passport, and vaccination requirements — with official sources before travelling.

6. Third-party services and affiliate links

Linki may display links to external services such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, Viator and GetYourGuide. Some of these links contain affiliate identifiers — Linki may earn a commission if you complete a purchase. The terms and privacy policies of those third parties apply to your interactions with them; Linki is not responsible for their content, prices, availability, or processing of your data.

7. Pricing

Linki may charge a one-time fee per trip created (paid by the trip organizer) at amounts disclosed in the app or on linki.travel. Fees are non-refundable once a trip has been created and shared with members. We may change pricing for future trips with reasonable notice.

8. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account in the app, or by following the instructions at linki.travel/delete-account. Deletion is permanent. Expenses you paid remain visible to other trip members so balances stay correct, but your name is replaced with "Deleted user".

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Linki does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific purpose. We are not a travel agent: we do not book flights, hotels, activities, insurance, or transportation on your behalf, and we are not liable for any travel decisions you make based on the Service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linki and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

11. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms over time. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using Linki and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will remain in effect.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence grant you additional rights or a different forum.
